What to wear:
Something you are comfortable in for the day and into evening. Something nice just not extremely revealing as to respect the elders.
(Family has asked bride to wear a traditional Punjabi suit which is pants and a long top that has embroidery.)
You are always welcome to get a skirt sari and wear that. Everyones loves to have the culture celebrated.
June 6th (second day of festivities has two parts)
Wedding Ceremony (Temple- actually getting married)- important to be on time
10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.

Lunch will be provided at temple.
What to wear:
Do not wear red. That is the brides color when getting married. Wear something more conservative but nice.
Everyone will be required to cover their head.
Everyone will need to take off their shoes.
Grooms side will be offered gold color kerchief.
Bride side will be offered red color kerchief.
Men and women sit on opposite sides.
Everyone sits on the floor (for those who cannot sit on the floor a chair will be provided.)
If you wish, you are welcome to get a sari and wear it.
At temple, it is customary for the brides side to be there first and on time. The bride is then ushered into a different room away from everyone.
Once the groom and his side arrives, there are small greetings between the families, a ribbon cutting where the groom has to pay to be able to access his bride, and everyone has Chai and a small bite before entering temple to witness the marriage.
***Between temple and the wedding reception will be your moment to change your wardrobe. Please take into consideration travel times as it is Friday.***

What to wear:
This is your time to shine. Think color and gala event. Wear whatever color you want. If you want to wear something light, just make it off white as pure white is for funerals.
(Please remember this is a family event.)
